About

Lee Cheney’s style is Abstract Expressionism - emotionally intimate and formally experimental. Born in Camden Town, his passion for art started as a kid when a box of very popular art supplies ‘fell off the back of a lorry!’. Lee’s style shifts between bold geometry and abstract with references to British Pop Art, especially when merging personal narrative with expression. His working-class roots and connection to London’s cultural scene shape much of his artistic perspective. Lee’s work is influenced by artists such as Hockney, Kandinsky and Picasso.
