Inspired by the greats who adorn St. Paul de Vence with their art, I decided to create my own inspired by its charm. In this abstract, a woman hovers above a stone bridge her figure ethereal against a rich cobalt sky. Blurred colours and shapes evoke the town’s charm and gold leaf decadently replaces most of the stone while her graceful suspension adds a sense of mystery and calm to the energetic brushstrokes.
